Wednesday Wanders Sunrise Forest Bathing Walk

Come walk gently with me. Let nature hold you, slow you, and bring you home to yourself.

Each week, we gather under open skies and among the trees to rest, reconnect, and return to what matters. These gentle Forest Bathing walks invite you to unwind your nervous system, quiet the mind, and soften into the healing rhythm of the land.

This is your sacred ‘you’ time — to be still, breathe deeply, and let yourself be gently restored.

What is Forest Bathing?

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, Forest Bathing is the mindful art of slowing down and connecting with nature through your senses.

It’s not a hike, not a fitness walk, no bathers needed — it’s a walking sensory immersion. A practice of presence. A way of listening to the land and to your own inner world. Nature becomes the guide. You simply come as you are.

You’re warmly invited to join the Wednesday Wanders Community

- Every Wednesday
- 7:00am – 8:30am
- Traralgon – Railway Conservation Reserve (Hickox Street Car Park)

- please book your free session (so that I may contact you if weather is unsafe to continue)

These weekly walks are my heartfelt gift to the community — free, accessible, and open to all adults seeking space to breathe, reflect, and restore.

There’s no need to commit weekly — simply come when your heart calls you.

What to Expect on the Walk:

- mindfully guided walk on a flat gravel path, perfect for all fitness and mobility levels
- sensory invitations to help you awaken your awareness and connect more deeply with the natural world
- a short, nature-based meditation (gentle and beginner-friendly)
- time for shared tea and gentle reflections after the walk
- a warm, inclusive and brave space held with deep care and respect

What to Bring:

- comfortable walking shoes
- clothing suited to the weather (we walk in light rain)
- rain jacket or umbrella if needed
- acurious heart, an open mind, and if you can, please switch your phone off — this is your time to unplug and drop in

- please arrive by 6:55am so we can begin together in a settled way
- we meet at the Hickox Street Car Park entrance of the Traralgon Railway Conservation Reserve

A Few Notes:

- walks are free, but please book ahead so I can contact you if there’s a weather cancellation
- these walks are for ages 18+
- we move mostly in silence to support introspection, presence, and a deeper connection to nature and self
- you are welcome just as you are — no experience necessary
