sharing my story

Restoring & nourishing our inner
& outer human-nature relationships.

" Healing begins when we remember we are nature — not separate from it, but shaped by it, held by it, and ultimately restored through it. " Sue

Nature has always been the thread that runs through my life. The Earth shaped me, held me, and continues to inspire my spirit and practice.

I was born into nature. My earth-based parents travelled and camped their way around Australia’s wilderness until I was five. It wasn’t until then that we moved into a built house. The land — in all its shapes and moods — has always felt like my real home. It’s been my teacher, my medicine, my place of resourcing, and a sanctuary for nurturing my inner child.

I grew up on a farm in South Australia, where life moved with the seasons and was shaped by soil, sun, and community. My Grandfather taught me to tend the vegetable garden with care and patience. My Grandmother shared her love for baking and sewing in our warm country kitchen. She passed down more than just recipes and stitches — she gifted me a quiet, humble wisdom that still lives within me today.

Our home was often full — music, food, laughter, and stories shared around bonfires beneath the stars. My mum would play old songs on the guitar while the fire cracked and sparked, and we’d all join in — a kind of togetherness that left a deep imprint on my heart, and helped shape my sense of belonging in community with nature.

I raised my three beautiful children in the Adelaide Hills, choosing a life that kept us close to the Earth. Our little patch of land was filled with vegetable and flower gardens, fruit trees, chooks, and a gentle mix of other living souls who came to share it with us. The kids grew up with dirt between their toes, sunshine in their hair, and the rhythms of nature all around them. Those years were rich with love, laughter, and the quiet kind of magic that only a life close to the land can bring.

In my 30s, I faced a health crisis that shook me to my core.

At my heaviest, I weighed 130kg, was insulin resistant, and on the verge of developing Type 2 Diabetes. I also had unmanaged hemochromatosis, with dangerously high iron levels. That day, when I received the diagnosis, I made a quiet but powerful decision: To choose health — for myself, for my children, and for the future.

Since then, I’ve walked a path of deep healing. It hasn’t always been easy. There were days of grief, doubt, and unfathomable fatigue — but also moments of clarity, inner strength, and deep joy. I healed my body, mind, and spirit one step at a time.

And while I’m deeply grateful for the journey, I often wished I had someone beside me — someone who could hold space, gently guide, listen deeply, and celebrate the small (but mighty) victories along the way. Now, I have the honour of being that person for others.

I walk alongside people as they reconnect with their own natural rhythm — their human-nature. I support them as they remember how to nourish themselves deeply, return to balance, and heal in a way that is rooted, real, and sustainable.

My life’s path — the soil under my feet, the stories in my bones, and the healing I’ve lived — all guide the work I offer today. I believe in a world where we support each other back into wellness, in ways that are simple, grounded, and deeply rooted with Earth.

Feeling the call to rekindle your inner & outer human-nature relationships? I'm always delighted to share a conversation.

With deep respect & care, Sue
