Day 12 - nature's treasures

Join us for 12 days of immersive and exploratory inspiration for reconnecting ourselves respectfully with the natural world and each other.

Experience the calming, rejuvenating and healing power of being in the present moment surrounded by nature, mindfully aware of yourselves and the world around you, synching back with your natural rhythms, cycles and flow!

May you make time regularly to take yourself for a gentle wander... slow down...breathe deeply and nourish your lungs and body with plenty of fresh air... observe the small things rather than just the big... find life and treasures abundant all around you!
You are part of this natural ecosystem. Honour that part of you by immersing yourself in nature and coming home to your most natural state of being.
Activity
There are natural treasures all around us if we slow down, listen deeply and observe the awe inspiring intricacies of nature. Set out on a gentle wander along a natural path or beach;

-
slow yourself down by focusing your awareness on every part of your feet as they touch and leave the ground with each step - lean into the slower pace of nature
-
engage your sense of sight, scan for details in natural objects such as the different varieties of seed pods, flowers, leaves, feathers, shells, stones or pebbles, washed up corals and creatures...
-
use your sense of touch to explore textures and closer inspections of objects - can you see an array of detailed patterns? Lean into your curiosity and wonder - why these patterns and textures? For what purpose?
-
collect natural object respectfully from the ground and find a sit spot to create some nature art - assemble your objects in a way that lights up your creativity
-
consider something that you are deeply grateful for, infuse this thought and feeling into your nature treasure so that it may act as a portal back to this moment whenever you see it at home or work.

Reconnecting ourselves regularly with the natural world has profound health & wellbeing benefits for our whole body; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

May you enjoy your family adventures and making cherished memories! Share your photos with us on Instagram #12daysofnaturefun and let's cultivate an inspiring collection of respectful nature experiences with our beautiful community!

Respectful play

A loving reminder to enjoy our natural world with a deep sense of reverence/respect;
-
leave no trace (take rubbish away with you)
-
be mindful of plants and animals when leaving a trail to explore
-
leave chemicals/pollutants out of waterways and the environment
-
we share the environment with other living beings to whom it is home, both plant and animal. If collecting natural materials or treasures, do so from the ground and not removed from a living plant - mindful of animals that use the material as shelter
