Featuring a very special collaboration

Tucked within this collection is this beautiful Japanese-inspired tea set, created by my friend and talented local potter, Sean @mclauglinstudios (Read Sean’s biography)

"...Our collaboration combines the harmonious integration of clay and woven fibre, two creative paths shaped by passion, inspiration and a deep relationship with natural materials, celebrating the beauty of hand crafted forms woven into the rituals of everyday life..." read collection release blog article

Every detail has been thoughtfully crafted, from the choice of Earth’s textured clay from Adelaide, my original home, to the spectacular partial glaze inspired by the spring colours of this woven collection, and the bamboo handle.

All tucked into this beautiful tea basket, lovingly woven with spring-inspired colours of hand-dyed raffia fibres, giving this piece an earthy, organic appearance and feel. The sturdy lid makes a perfect serving tray.

Inspired by the mindful practice of gathering for tea and the spirit of nature tending, this special piece celebrates simple moments of pausing and nourishment. It offers an invitation to slow down, make space for connection, and savour the beauty of simply being, a gentle invitation to remember our human–nature relationships through everyday rituals.

This chabako tea basket holds a little of spring’s unfolding beauty in a form to be enjoyed and cherished for generations. May it bring a sense of natural connection and mindful living into your home.

Spring muse - the vibrant awakening of spring, as swollen buds unfurl into tender green leaves and orchard branches soften beneath an abundance of blossoms. The air fills with sweet fragrances, the gentle hum of bees weaving between flowers, and the busy flutter of birds gathering nature’s treasures to craft their woven nests. Everywhere, life is stirring, creating, becoming.

These moments invite me to pause, notice, listen deeply and remember my own place within this beautiful living world, feeling the enduring threads of my human–nature connections and relationships.

Featuring: hand grown Mycelium leather Renew & Nourish label. Remove the wire from the tea pot handles and this natural piece will return to the earth after generations of use.
