remembering myself home
" Healing begins when we remember we are nature — not separate from it, but shaped by it, held by it, and ultimately restored through it. " Sue

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
Nature has always been the thread woven through my life. It has shaped me, held me, challenged me, and continues to inspire the way I live, create, heal and walk alongside others. The Earth has always felt like home—a place of belonging, wonder and quiet wisdom.
I was born into nature. My parents spent my earliest years travelling and camping through Australia's wilderness before we eventually settled on a farm in South Australia.
Growing up, life moved with the seasons. My grandfather patiently taught me to tend the vegetable garden, while my grandmother shared her love of baking and sewing in our country kitchen. She passed on more than practical skills, she gifted me a deep appreciation for slowing down, creating with our hands, and finding joy in simple, everyday moments.
Our home was filled with music, shared meals, laughter and stories around bonfires beneath the stars. Those early experiences nurtured my love of community, creativity and our innate relationship with the natural world.
Later, as I raised my own family in the Adelaide Hills, I consciously chose a life that kept us close to the Earth. We grew vegetables and flowers, tended fruit trees, cared for animals, and spent countless hours outdoors. Looking back, I realise we weren't simply living in nature—we were learning what it meant to belong to it.
Yet life also invited me into one of my greatest teachers.
In my thirties, I experienced a significant health crisis that changed the course of my life. Living with obesity, insulin resistance and unmanaged haemochromatosis, I found myself at a crossroads. Rather than searching for a quick solution, I began a long and deeply personal journey of healing.
Over many years, I discovered something profound;
Healing wasn't about fighting my body.
It was about learning to listen to it.
Slowly, I began remembering the quiet wisdom that had always lived within me. Through mindful awareness, nourishing food, time in nature, movement, rest and self-compassion, I restored my health one gentle step at a time. It transformed not only my wellbeing, but the way I understood what it truly means to live well.
That journey continues to shape everything I offer today.
I believe we already carry within us everything we need to heal, belong, create and thrive. Sometimes we simply need a gentle space to slow down, listen deeply, and remember.
Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who we have always been.
If you're feeling the gentle calling to reconnect with yourself, restore your wellbeing naturally, and remember your way home to your human–nature, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
With deep respect & care,
Sue
